Global segmentation of the coastal plain and the coastline (current DIVA dataset; successor, not the 2008 database)

Global segmentation of the coastal plain and the coastline (current DIVA dataset; successor, not the 2008 database) is an open dataset published by Zenodo (Global Climate Forum), under CC BY 4.0 (Zenodo record). It describes climate change. Coverage: global. Biohotspot shows it on its map as 3 layers.

About this dataset

This dataset contains global segmentations of the coastline/coastplain. See README.md for further information. The directory-structure mentioned in there can not be provided in the zenodo dataset, but the filename allow for easy reproduction of this structure. A publication describing the methods used to generate the dataset is in preparation and will be added to this dataset as soon as possible.

On the Biohotspot map

Open a layer to see it on the map, then tap any sea or draw an area to read its values there.

The original 2008 DIVA/DINAS-COAST database is not offered for download as such. Global Climate Forum's DIVA page points to the current global DIVA dataset on Zenodo: open https://zenodo.org/records/19664628 and download the GeoPackage/GeoTIFF/CSV files (coastline segments by GADM1 or NUTS2, floodplains, rivers, cities) plus README.md.
